Self-compassion workshop #4: Mental self-compassion
Reducing agitation and caring for our mind
By Vanessa Tassé
The self-compassion workshops aim to provide an opportunity to practice self-compassion in community. They are inspired by the principles and exercises of the Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) program developed by Kristin Neff and Christopher Germer. They focus on various themes, including: overview of self-compassion; tender and fierce self-compassion; physical, mental, emotional, relational and spiritual self-compassion. The facilitators completed their training with the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion (CMSC).
Description
Agitation is a part of life. Our fast-paced rhythm of life can make it challenging to take a break, thus contributing to restlessness. Sometimes, we feel stuck under time pressure and it may seem difficult to create space to slow down and appreciate. This workshop contains exercises aiming to reduce agitation and care for our mind that can be integrated in our lives.
Format
Virtual. Please familiarize yourself with the platform used before the workshop.
The workshops contain experiential exercises (e.g.: meditations, written exercises), and opportunities for group discussions. They are designed for self-development and self-growth.
